Jeremy Robinson, who has been Fire Chief since December 2018, started his volunteer firefighting career at the Union Hill Volunteer Fire Department in 2006. After he and his family moved to Waverly, AL, in 2016, he joined Oak Bowery Fire and Rescue, where he led the rebuilding of the department from one member to its current level of 15 1st responders and over 30 support members. In 2019 Chief Robinson led Oak Bowery Fire and Rescue’s disaster recovery team in response to the tornado in Beauregard, Alabama. He was named Alabama Volunteer Firefighter of the Year in 2021 after he saved the life of a logger injured in a logging accident in Clay County, Alabama.
